The Underwater Egg Hunt is back! Join Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space as they go on an egg hunt at the Carson City Aquatic Facility on Saturday, April 20.

Some eggs will be floating on top of the pool, some will be at the bottom of the pool. Egg hunts will be separated by age group in various pools at the Carson Aquatic Facility. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m.

Registration is required in advance this year. You can register at www.carson.org/ccpr

The event is free and open to children up to 12-years of age. Children 6 and under must be with a participating adult.

Author Teri Case has sent out a warm thank you to Carson City residents for their support in her debut novel "Tiger Drive and an invitation to a June 8 book signing.

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension 4-H Clubs held their 2016-2017 Awards Night at the Governor’s Mansion Nevada Room on Nov. 15. At least 100 4-H youth from Carson City and Storey County received recognition for their accomplishments during the year.

Kizzy the elusive cattle dog is back with its owner today. Here's a message from the owner: "Thank you to Carson City people and community for getting the info out on Kizzy the Cattle dog. On July 9, Carson Animal Services Initiative, also known as CASI, had the pleasure of hosting our annual Bark, Whine and Dine fundraiser at Fuji Park, and because of our incredible community, it was once again a huge success.
