The Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department, with the Pine Nut Mountains Trails Association and the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicle Commission, is sponsoring a volunteer Clean-Up Day at the Prison Hill Recreation Area in the OHV Area. The public is invited to come out and help.
The PNMTA will be offering food, prizes and UTV rides. The event is Sunday, Oct. 6. We will meet in the Prison Hill OHV Staging Area at 10 a.m., and the event will last until about 2 p.m.
Directions: From the intersection of Snyder Avenue and Golden Eagle Lane, travel south on Golden Eagle Lane for 0.9 miles, and turn left at the Prison Hill Recreation Area monument sign.
