Washoe Valley's Franktown Apples opens its 'U-Pick' season Sunday
Beginning this Sunday, Sept. 12, Franktown Apples in Washoe Valley will open its "u-pick" orchard to the public for apple picking.
Located at 7425 Franktown Road, Franktown Apples is a local family-owned apple orchard that offers four apple varieties: Braeburn, Cameo, Gala, and Golden Delicious. All varieties are $2 a pound.
The orchard never uses pesticides.
Opening day is Sunday Sept. 12 at 9 a.m. The orchard will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until Oct. 12 or until apples are gone.
Come and enjoy a country setting with picnic tables, grassy children's play area, gift shop with vintage, gift items, antiques, local honey, and apple butter. There is plenty of room to social distance. Fun for the entire family. We look forward to seeing you!
