Come learn about culture and diversity in Carson City through, song, dance, and crafts! We will be making Egg Maracas for the kids to take home in this Diversity in Action program.
When: Saturday, April 15, 2017 10:30AM-12:30PM
Where: Carson City Library
Free, family event!
Come discover Nevada's rich cultural heritage in an inspiring, interactive workshop celebrating Diversity in Action. Through visual and musical storytelling, award-winning artists – songwriter/performer Jim Eaglesmith & outdoor photographer Mark Vollmer – will help you learn how past & present cultures in the Carson City area has made it into the thriving community it is today. Sing along to international music and laugh & dance to rhythms of percussion instruments that the audience creates! This program is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
*Seats and materials are limited, registration is required to reserve a spot: http://carsoncitylibrary.libcal.com/event/2857648
