Carson City Elks Install New Officers
On this past Saturday, March 25, 2017, members, families, and guests celebrated the Installation of Officers at Carson City Elks Lodge #2177. Outgoing Exalted Ruler Troy Dennis expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the members for a very successful year.
He praised his Corps of Officers and Committee workers for the numerous charitable accomplishments of the past twelve months. Exalted Ruler Troy Dennis also acknowledged the Lodge's auxiliary Emblem Club #507 for their contributions to numerous worthy causes through the community.
The new officers will be serving the Lodge for a term of one year commencing April 01, 2017. They are: Exalted Ruler (Lodge President) Kent Mayer, and Leading Knight Skip Reed, Loyal Knight Bruce Jurgensen, Lecturing Knight Jim Masterson (Vice Presidents).
Also installed were: Secretary Sabina Bye, Treasurer Karyl Summers, Esquire Al Bergstrom, Chaplain Gerry Saich, Inner Guard Karen Herbert, Tiler Shelly Clement, Trustee Wayne Willson.
In his acceptance speech, newly elected Exalted Ruler Kent Mayer reiterated his commitment to revitalizing the participation of the current membership. Exalted Ruler Kent Mayer also pledged to maintain the spirit of cooperation and involvement the Lodge has long enjoyed with Carson City and the surrounding communities in northern Nevada.
