The annual Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights holiday celebration goes virtual on Friday. Santa Claus will arrive virtually at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada and in-person at Battle Born Harley Davidson on Saturday for pictures with families and kids of all ages. Combined with live music and dinner specials at Living the Good Life, the state capital has events lined up for the holidays! Read on for more information.

State museums in Nevada offer free admission for active-duty military families

The National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families program, now in its 10th year, launched the 2019 program on Saturday, May 18 – Armed Forces Day – and it will stay in effect through the Labor Day Weekend.

The event runs Thursday through Saturday at Mills Park with Thursday a practice day for the competitors. The big events that bring the most spectators and participants will be on Friday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and feature music, vendors, food, demonstrations and contests.
Rockabilly car show coming to Carson City in June

“This is a four-day party wrapped around a car show and celebrating a culture,” said Joel Dunn, executive director of the Carson City Visitors Bureau.
