A Fire and Ice, red carpet benefit Saturday for the Brewery Arts Center
The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975 will bring to Carson City Winter Wine, Spirits and All That Jazz, an evening of wine, beer and spirit tasting, featuring the very best in art, music and entertainment.
This spectacular showcase will cover the entire two block campus of the Brewery Arts Center. More than your average wine tasting, this annual fundraiser will feature more than 20 wines, beers and spirits, live dance music by SambaDa’, a Fire and Ice themed stage show by Dysrhythmia Dance Company, Controlled Burn, Athena McIntyre, Batamba Drummers, and traveling sculpture by Timeless Sculptures and hearty Hors d'oeuvres by Simple Fair Catering, not to mention, art and surprises around every corner! The event will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 7pm to 10:30pm.
Tickets are $45 per person for members of the Brewery Arts Center or $50 per person for non-members and are available for purchase at Breweryarts.org or by phone at 775-883-1976.
The Brewery Arts Center (BAC) is committed to presenting and promoting art, arts programming and cultural events for all ages through its facilities and resources to the community of Carson City and the surrounding area.
The mission is “we are a non-profit organization that enriches the quality of life by cultivating arts and culture for all”. The BAC provides arts programming for thousands of citizens each year serving all ages, all cultures and all disciplines.
Whether you are a professional or never picked up a paint brush, whether you’ve lived your life onstage or prefer to be in the audience, there is a place for everyone at the Brewery Arts Center.
In addition to providing innovative arts programming for everyone, regardless of ability to pay, the BAC is home to the Nevada Artists Association gallery, an Artisan store where local artists can present and sell their work, High Sierra Swing Dance Club, Carson City Classic Cinema Clubs, Sierra Nevada Forums, Celtic Music Series’, Wild Horse Children’s Theater, and Proscenium Players, and the upcoming second annual TEDxCarsonCity event.
Additionally, BAC provides art programming for several schools within the Carson City School District, Juvenile Detention Center as well as Arts in the Park, a free summer program that provides children with barrier free art classes.
