The Carson City Supervisors proclaimed June 15, 2022 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in order to bring better understanding of abuse and neglect of older adults.

The proclamation states that 2022 marks the 17th annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which marks the significance of elder abuse as a public health and human rights issue.
