Memorial Day Flag Placement happening Friday at Carson City's Lone Mountain Cemetery

Chapter 7 of the Disabled American Veteran's will once again host the Memorial Day Flag placement at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

The placement will occur on Friday, May 27 at 4 p.m. Recovery will be the following Monday, May 30 at 4 p.m.

We greatly appreciate your participation.

Staff of Chapter 7 will be onsite to distribute bundles of flags to all participants.

We ask that flags only be placed on markers that identify the grave as that of a veteran.

On Wednesday, at around 2:10 a.m., Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a male who arrived at the Carson Tahoe Hospital after being shot in the leg. Deputies located the crime scene in the 3400 block of Champion Drive in East Carson City.
