Carson City's annual Rockin’ Ribfest at Casino Fandango is back this Memorial Day weekend
Casino Fandango’s annual Rockin’ Ribfest is back!
Come on down for a day of fun featuring a rib cook-off competition with National Champion rib cookers, barbecue vendors, arts and craft vendors, a beer garden, live music, and more.
Free Live Entertainment at The Max Casino Downtown Carson City
Memorial Weekend at the Max Casino Downtown Carson City features free live entertainment Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 p.m. to midnight.
Featuring: Friday, May 27, Chris Costa; Saturday, May 28, Audio Breeze and Sunday, May 29, The David Perez Band.

The Virginia Truckee Railroad begins its 47th season on Saturday, May28, 2022. Steam locomotive engine number 29 will be running roundtrips from Virginia City to Gold Hill on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday May 28-30. This 35-minute ride runs seven times each day, beginning at 10:30am.

Memorial Day Flag Placement happening Friday at Carson City's Lone Mountain Cemetery
Chapter 7 of the Disabled American Veteran's will once again host the Memorial Day Flag placement at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
The placement will occur on Friday, May 27 at 4 p.m. Recovery will be the following Monday, May 30 at 4 p.m.
Welcome To The Cirque: Student Showcase
Held at the Carson City Community Center at 7 p.m., 'Welcome to the Cirque' is going to be a fantastic display of dance routines from Ayako’s Dance Studio, acrobatic routines from Silver State Gymnastics, and circus acts of aerial silks, pole and lyra from Yaple’s Ballroom.

Ceremony Monday: Native American War Veteran Memorial at the Old Stewart Indian Cemetery
A Memorial Day ceremony will be held Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 to pay tribute in recognition of fallen Native American war veterans who have died. The event is presented by the 630 Silverstate Marine Corps League Detachment of Carson City.

Memorial Day Book Sale in Silver City
The Silver City Volunteer Library and the Silver City Preservation Society is hosting the First Annual Memorial Day Book Sale on Monday, May 30. A huge variety of genres and titles will be available including art books, cook books, fiction, non fiction, children's and young adult books, DIY, field guides, history, biographies and much more. Refreshments will also be served.

‘Barefoot in the Park’ to Debut at the Brewery Arts Center
Playwrite Neil Simon’s delightful classic “Barefoot in the Park” comes alive later this month in the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall. The Neil Simon play tells the hilarious story of a newlywed couple, he a stuffy lawyer and she a free spirit, and their new life together in New York City.

The Carson City Historical Society would like to that Mayor Lori Bagwell and the (DAR) Daughters of the American Revolution for joining us at the Beautiful Foreman Roberts House for their annual meeting. Such a great turnout of 50 people! Quite a lovely event and a beautiful day!
Rides and events highlight Carson City's May 2022 Bike Month
May is Bike Month, celebrated annually by Carson City's Muscle Powered, with rides such as bike to school day, bike to work week and "Choose your Cruise" among several bicycle-themed events lined up through the month.
