The precautionary boil water notice issued for the Copper Canyon Estates in Dayton on May 13 has been lifted. Laboratory testing confirms the water is safe to drink, according to the Lyon County Utilities Department.

The Carson City Symphony Association will present a free concert featuring Music of the Andes on Saturday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m., at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive in Carson City. The concert features Kantu Inka —Carlos and Julie Ocampa — who have been presenting Peruvian Andean music in the U.S. since 2003.

On Saturday, May 7, 2022, at approximately 2:21 p.m., Troopers with the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, responded to reports of a fatal crash that occurred on US-50 in the area of Riverboat Road in Dayton.
