Nevada State Police: 3 dead in multiple crashes Sunday in Douglas, Storey and Lyon counties
Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division is reporting three fatal crashes that happened Sunday afternoon on Northern Nevada highways in Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties.
NHP is reporting a fatal rollover crash Sunday afternoon that happened on State Route 88 at Kimmerling Road that involved two vehicles in which one person is dead. The cause of the crash under investigation. One was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, according to NHP.
The road is blocked as of late Sunday afternoon. Motorists can expect delays and are urged to use alternate routes.
There are two fatal motorcycle crashes that happened Sunday afternoon, according to the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division.
There was a fatal motorcycle crash on SR-341 at Storey County Mile Marker 7 reported at 3:15 p.m. Sunday. According to NHP it involves a single rider who died of injuries at the scene. The cause of the crash under investigation. The roadway blocked in both directions at this time. Avoid area and take alternate route.
Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol division also reports a fatal single motorcycle crash on SR-341 at Lyon County Mile Marker 4 reported at 3:56 p.m. According to NHP, the "rider succumbed to injuries." The cause of the crash is under investigation. The roadway blocked in both directions at this time, according to Nevada State Police.
