Congress approves bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday on June 17, 2021 commemorating the end of slavery. The House voted 415-14, and signed by President Joe Biden to make Juneteenth, or June 19th, the 12th federal holiday.

Nevada, like many areas across the nation, is experiencing an uptick in COVID-19 cases. The increase in cases is not comparable to the surges seen in January, which had new daily case averages of more than 6,000 statewide.

But cases have increased from the new daily case average of 140 in the first week of April to more than 800 in the first week of June, according to data from Nevada Health Response.

These boys are sweet and playful brothers with lots of personality. Life started out rough for them when they came down with serious kitty diseases that required special treatments.
