Carson City Classic Cinema 2022 outdoor summer movie series begins this Friday
The Carson City Classic Cinema Club, Garrett Lepire, and Carson City Parks and Recreation are once again teaming up to present a schedule of free summer outdoor family movie nights at Mills Park.
We're going to start by kicking off Father's Day weekend Friday, June 17, with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), which introduces us to Indie's own dad, played by Sean Connery.
This year, we'll also have some fun pre-show activities and Kona Ice will be at some screenings with their festive music and Hawaiian Ice treats. Bring your favorite chairs, blankets and picnic fare to stake out your space early. Films begin at sunset.
The rest of the schedule is as follows:
Friday, 24 June - The Bad News Bears (1976)
Friday, 08 July - Up (1009)
Friday, 15 July - The Jungle Book (2016)
Friday, 22 July - Jurassic Park (1993)
Friday, 29 July - Soul (2020)
Mills Park is located at 1111 E. William Street, Carson City. The movies will be shown near the skate park.
The Carson City Classic Cinema Club is a non-profit organization and 100% of proceeds go to youth arts and community programs. Our regular schedule of classic films is shown on the first Tuesday of every month at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall (511 W. King St., Carson City NV 89706).
