The library’s Digitorium will transform into a submarine that’s become stuck and is leaking water — passengers need to solve the puzzles, find the key and escape before it’s too late.

The Carson City Planning Commission has delayed action on a request by Qualcan, a cannabis company based in Las Vegas, to open an additional retail marijuana outlet in Carson City. To the Commission’s credit, the matter was tabled in anticipation that a delay might encourage additional public input. The matter will be reconsidered at the Commission’s July 27th meeting. For those of us who fought vigorously against the licensing of any recreational marijuana outlets, the very fact that this matter is back before the Commission is disheartening.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday for drug offenses following a traffic stop for a brake light violation, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late Tuesday morning to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 50 East and Centennial Drive.

Drift smoke is possible Tuesday around Western Nevada, the Carson City region and Lake Tahoe due to the Washburn Fire in Yosemite. Smoke from the fire is expected into the region later today, according to the National Weather Service.

The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Office of State Epidemiology continues to monitor and respond to the current monkeypox virus outbreak in the U.S. and Nevada. As of July 11, five monkeypox virus cases have been identified in Nevada and 767 cases have been identified nationally across 36 U.S states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
