Carson City sheriff's deputies make drug, warrant arrests
A 42-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday for drug offenses following a traffic stop for a brake light violation, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Melissa Nickole Bailey was arrested for suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance, violation of bail conditions and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and the brake light violation.
During the investigation, deputies learned the woman was on alternative sentencing, had a curfew and search and seizure clause. A CCSO canine alerted positive for drugs. Officer located a small knife case that contained two ziplock bags with suspected methamphetamine, one unopened suboxone packet and opened suboxone packet. Bail: $3,000 cash for violation of bail conditions.
In other arrests:
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Reno Justice Court. Bail: $500.
— A 40-year-old Winnemucca woman was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued April 28, 2021 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail; $1,000 cash.
