St. Theresa of Avila Basque Festival is a Carson City fall favorite
Early fall in the Carson City wouldn’t be complete without St. Teresa of Avila’s famous Basque Festival. To honor the rich traditions of Northern Nevada’s Basque heritage, this daylong event is held the third Sunday of September, and has grown into a community-wide celebration. Several thousand people attend the Basque Festival each year, enjoying the authenticity of fantastic food, events, and entertainment. Quite simply there isn’t a better way to spend an autumn Sunday!
Gates open at 11 a.m. Mass at noon. The festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Advance tickets: Adult $25, kids 16 and under free. Day of Event: Adult $30, kids 16 and under free.
