The Rising Suns is a Carson City area men’s circle. We gather weekly to share our life stories, challenges, dramas, and traumas in a supportive and judgment-free space. This is authentic men’s work in which we learn to accept ourselves fully.

Miller Counseling is partnering with Douglas Center for Hope and Healing to offer grief support groups to Carson City and the surrounding rural communities Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Miller Counseling and Wellness Center is located at 104 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City.

The Center for Hope and Healing has been providing grief support to Douglas County for the last 10 years. The goal of building this partnership is to make the free support groups available and easier to access to more members of the Northern Nevada community.

Capital City Arts Initiative is delighted to present work by the late artist, Robert Morrison, in the "A Glimpse Back" exhibition. His work reflected an active and ongoing dialogue between both geometric and organic forces.

The Battle Born Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution is a women’s volunteer service organization promoting Patriotism, Education, and Historic Preservation. Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month at 12 noon for one hour. This Oct. 16 the meeting is at the Staybridge Suites, 972 Retail Ct, Carson City.
