Coming off its closest call of the season to date, the undefeated Carson High football team will be looking to continue the momentum into homecoming tonight.

Carson (5-0 overall, 4-0 Northern 4A conference) will host Damonte Ranch (0-5, 0-4) in a 7:30 p.m. conference contest. The Senators picked off a dramatic 16-13 overtime win over arch rival Douglas last week in Minden and have carried that momentum over to this week, according to coach Blair Roman.

A 24-yard final field goal by Carson Senator Austin Pacheco in overtime, his third one of the night, brought home yet another victory for the Carson City high school football team, reports Carsonsports.com.
Pacheco's winning kick was the difference as the Carson High football team kept its undefeated season record intact with a thrilling 16-13 victory against arch rival Douglas on Friday night.

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation at Lake Tahoe has opened registration for the 2010-2011 Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboard Programs. With a variety of options from the One-Day Program to the Full-Time Competitive Program, the Foundation has something for all ages and levels of skiers and riders. Squaw Valley USA at Lake Tahoe has announced the appointment of JP Martin as the mountain’s new terrain park manager.

JP comes to Squaw Valley with 19 years of experience in the ski and snowboarding industry and a resume that includes experience at Whistler, Mt. Hood, Jackson Hole and many resorts in Japan. Most recently, Martin worked as the terrain park manager at Sugar Bowl Resort on Donner Summit in Lake Tahoe.
