Bella is a three-and-a-half-year-old gal who was surrendered to us. She is very sweet and opens up to us more and more every day. She can start a little shy but loves to get pets once she feels comfortable.

Man wanted for parole violation jailed after vehicle pursuit in Carson City

A man who led Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies on a vehicle pursuit late Wednesday afternoon and was wanted for parole violation was arrested Thursday, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

Nevada Dance Company's 'The Nutcracker' returns to Carson City for Thanksgiving holiday weekend

Performances feature principal dancers who have performed with professional ballet companies such as Birmingham Royal Ballet (England), Slovak National Ballet, Sacramento Ballet and Smuin Ballet among others.
No cost presentation Saturday at WNC Observatory highlights history of telescope lenses

Observatory volunteer Robert Anderson will present a discussion on "The Rise of the Reflector." His presentation will cover a history of lens-type telescopes and how and why they became larger and larger.
$2.2M in grant money available for urban and community forest projects throughout Nevada
