Man wanted for parole violation jailed after vehicle pursuit in Carson City

A man who led Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies on a vehicle pursuit late Wednesday afternoon and was wanted for parole violation was arrested Thursday, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

Nevada Dance Company's 'The Nutcracker' returns to Carson City for Thanksgiving holiday weekend

Join Nevada Dance Company this Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 24-26, at the Carson City Community Center Theatre for a magical performance of the holiday classic "The Nutcracker."

Performances feature principal dancers who have performed with professional ballet companies such as Birmingham Royal Ballet (England), Slovak National Ballet, Sacramento Ballet and Smuin Ballet among others.

Observatory volunteer Robert Anderson will present a discussion on "The Rise of the Reflector."
