Kathy will be re-joining the Douglas County team from East Fork Fire Protection District. The Chief Financial Officer serves as the County Auditor and Comptroller pursuant to Chapter 251 of the Nevada Revised Statutes. This role is responsible for the proper administration of the financial affairs of the County.

Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 11/18/2023 - 8:06amSierra Arts Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for arts and the artists that create it within a 200 mile radius of the Reno, Sparks region, is hosting the first Holiday Music and Art Festival in partnership with the Carson City Parks and Recreation department at Silver Saddle Ranch on Nov. 18.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to the public. It will feature artists, vendors, musicians and other nonprofit groups in advance of the holiday season.

The event was memorable though I don’t recall the menu, for the food was secondary to the overall event. What I recall most was the delight of children as they spied Santa and Mrs. Claus or the elves.
