Buffalo Wild Wings in Carson City to close doors Sunday

After 10 years serving up wings in Carson City, Buffalo Wild Wings will be shutting its doors this Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023.
The location first opened in the capital city November 2013 to large crowds, and would have celebrated its 10-year anniversary November 18.

This year’s Nevada Day celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Single Jack Rock Drilling World Championships, and a number of contestants — including first timers — came out to join in on the fun.

The Nevada State Museum will host a Day of the Dead Celebration this weekend from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. As part of the event and celebration, art students from Carson High School will exhibit Día de los Muertos altars.

UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday morning to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the 3200 block of North Roop Street.
Carson High girls cross country defend regional title, Macy wins overall

Carson High Girls and Boys Cross Country dominated Regionals last Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. The girls defended their Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association North 5A team title, with all seven runners placing in the top 14, and Sawyer Macy earned the title of NIAA Regional Champion by winning the overall boys North 5A title.
