Carson City Sheriff's Office: 4 in custody following combined armed robbery investigation

On Saturday at 4:15 p.m. an armed robbery was reported at the CVS Pharmacy, located in the 3200 block of Highway 50 East in Carson City. The caller stated two male adults entered the store, wearing ski masks, and were armed with a handgun.
Youth Theatre Carson City shines at national Musical Theatre Competition

In March of 2023, Youth Theatre Carson City’s Showstoppers show choir traveled to Southern California to compete in the Musical Theatre Competitions of America 2023, a national competition against 36 teams representing 19 states and 3 countries and learning from some of Broadway’s biggest and brightest stars.

Gusty winds will arrive Sunday afternoon as a storm system moves into the region, bringing gusty winds, snow to the Sierra and rain with the possibility of snow showers along the lower valleys by early Monday morning.

Nevada Division of Insurance provides guidance for Medicaid recipients amid changes

CARSON CITY — The Public Health Emergency declared during the COVID-19 pandemic came to an end on March 31, 2023, which means current Medicaid enrollees will no longer be automatically renewed for benefits. Medicaid recipients will now need to have their eligibility redetermined to see if they still qualify for Medicaid coverage.

Beginning April 3 and continuing through April 28, 2023, the Carson City Water Division will start and test wells in anticipation of increased water demand. In a systematic approach to improve water quality, the Water Division may be flushing the water mains in the following areas:

Reported armed robbery occurring at highway 50 pharmacy

Vehicle update: A dark colored sedan possibly a Honda or Toyota with a white sticker in the lower left hand side of the back window. Possible California plate, could also be a speciality license plate that is mostly white. Potentially four individuals including two suspects in the car.

Suspects possibly headed westbound on Carmine. However another witness said possibly northbound Airport and Champion.
Suspects are potentially in a black Nissan or a white Honda sedan. Both vehicles have California license plates.
