Carson students represent at 2023 Tah-Neva Middle School Wrestling Championships
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 04/03/2023 - 9:25amMiddle school wrestlers from northern Nevada gathered at Pershing County High School in Lovelock Saturday, March 25, for the 2023 Tah-Nevada Middle School Wrestling Championship Tournament. In total, there were 261 wrestlers representing 17 schools, from White Pine County to Truckee, Calif. Carson Middle School and Eagle Valley Middle School sent 10 and 14 wrestlers respectively, representing Carson City Schools.

The Arch turned blue and green Saturday, April 1, during a special ceremony and will remain blue and green the entire month.

Nevada troopers, law enforcement agencies statewide to cite drivers using cell phones
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 04/03/2023 - 7:55amFrom April 3 through April 20, 2023, Nevada’s law enforcement agencies throughout the state will be Joining Forces and citing distracted drivers. Nevada law clearly states that any use of a handheld electronic device — cell phone, mp3 player, GPS device, etc. — while driving is illegal. Nevada’s ban on handheld devices while driving went into effect January 1, 2012, and law enforcement continues to spot and cite offenders every day.
