The Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigations Division is asking for the public's help identifying a man sought for questioning in a battery with a deadly weapon and road rage incident where the victim was stabbed in the hand and punched.

Damaging winds blew down trees, caused power outages and closed the main artery between Carson City and Reno overnight, after the first winter storm of 2022 moved into the region, further causing headaches for motorists, long wait lines on alternative roadways and the loss of electricity due to downed or damaged power lines.
Governor announces delayed opening of Carson City, Reno state offices due to road conditions

Additionally, two overturned semi-trucks are blocking some lanes in both directions with high winds hampering efforts to remove the trucks.

Additionally, the Sherriff reported the County experienced another year with fewer calls for service as compared to previous years.
