Nevada Department of Corrections suspends visitation statewide due to COVID increase

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Corrections announced Monday that visitation will be temporarily suspended statewide due to a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases among offenders.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division responded Sunday night to a vehicle crash near the intersection of I-580, US-50 and South Carson Street. A Care Flight air ambulance was ordered.
