Seasonal dirt road closure underway on the Eldorado National Forest

Heading into the first week of 2022 brings the potential for damaging winds, mountain snow, and a few light valley rain and snow showers Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a High Wind Warning for the greater Reno, Carson City, Carson Valley areas and at Lake Tahoe.

Following the devastating impact of COVID-19, Nevada is recovering at one of the fastest rates in the country when it comes to three key factors: personal income growth, employment growth and population growth.
