Carson City school-based health center offers walk-in COVID, flu vaccinations Wednesday

Nevada Health Centers’ School-based Health Center in Carson City will offer COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to adults and children during a walk-in clinic on Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. A parent or guardian is required to attend the appointment of a minor receiving the vaccines.
Carson City Sheriff's Office reports yearly jail conditions: No deaths, more arrests, two escapes

On Thursday, the Carson City Board of Supervisors heard the biannual report from the Carson City Sheriff's Office regarding jail conditions.
According to the presentation, the jail is returning to 2019 figures and statistics after numbers lowered across most categories due to COVID-19 and the shutdown, which led to less arrests overall.

Carson City Supervisors choose Reno engineering firm for East William Street design project

On Thursday, the Board of Supervisors voted to approve a contract with Nichols Consulting Engineers of Reno for feasibility and design services for the East William Complete Streets Project. The amount for the services is not to exceed $390,242.50.

The Retail Association of Nevada is reminding consumers that there is no need to change purchasing behaviors due to the omicron variant. Some preferred products or brands may have intermitted disruptions in availability; however, the supply chain is operating smoothly, and systemic shortages are not currently projected.
Carson City arrests: Man admits taking Walmart vest, ID card with intention to steal from store

A 29-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of burglary after allegedly using a Walmart vest and identification card he took from the store with the intention to steal merchandise, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
