Carson High Crowns 2021 Homecoming King and Queen

Carson High School (CHS) crowned Parsa Hadjighasemi and Caydee Farnworth as the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen. A short coronation ceremony was held on the football field during halftime of Friday’s matchup against the McQueen High School Lancers.
Carson High students celebrate Homecoming Week with 'Wednesday Night Live' production

Carson High School is currently celebrating the school’s 150th anniversary with events for Homecoming week, including “Wednesday Night Live,” a local, student-led version of Saturday Night Live.
CVS Health announces 79 locations in Nevada will supply COVID-19 Booster Vaccines beginning today

CVS Health today announced that, following approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention based on guidance from the organization’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, select CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic locations are now offering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster shot to eligible populations beginning today, Friday, September 24, including 79 locations in Nevada.
Three vehicle crash reported near Carson Street and College Parkway

First responders are enroute to the scene. Injuries are unknown.
Motorists should seek alternate routes or use caution in the area.
Carson Valley Meats proposes new USDA-certified livestock harvesting and processing facility in Carson City

A new meat processing facility aimed towards local, small-scale ranchers is under review, and will be appearing before the Carson City Planning Commission on Sept. 29 to review its proposal.
The facility, if approved, will be located in the industrial area near Detroit Road, located between Highway 50 and Morgan Mill Road.
NV Energy Issues Scam Alert to Customers

On Thursday, NV Energy issued an alert to customers stating that an increase of scam calls and emails were being reported, targeting NV Energy customers by falsely representing themselves as NV Energy.

Sierra Lutheran High School senior Caleb Pots has been named a Commended Student in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.
