Carson City, Quad County COVID-19 Wednesday briefing: 15 new cases, 17 recoveries

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, April 14, 2021 that there are 15 new cases and 17 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brings the total number of cases to 12,167, with 11,542 recoveries and 222 deaths; 403 cases remain active.

On April 12, 2021, a planned health and safety inspection was conducted at the Royal Inn, also known as the Frontier Motel, located at 1718 N. Carson Street, by Carson City Health and Human Services, Carson City Emergency Management, Carson City Fire Department, Carson City Code Enforcement, and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada DMV is warning the public to avoid scams involving DMV appointments for sale. Director Julie Butler says scammers have been booking DMV appointments and trying to sell them to others. Fraudulent offers have been spotted recently on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
