In honor of Earth Day, his presentation will lay out the scientific fundamentals of climate change, the ample evidence that it's happening right now all around us, and public policy proposals with the potential to slow the rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Quad County, Carson City COVID-19 update: 5,000 appointments available for Moderna vaccine

This brings the total number of cases to 12,191, with 11,561 recoveries and 222 deaths; 408 cases remain active.

Carson Valley Community Theatre Call for Auditions for Summer Production

Mark your calendars and come to The Annex, 1572 Hwy 395 in Minden. Auditions are on Thursday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m. Those auditioning should prepare a song and bring music for piano accompaniment or a back-track. We will be casting two men and two women of any age for the show.

Nevada adds jobs back in March; statewide unemployment rate continues to improve

Carson City's job growth remained unchanged for the month compared to February numbers.
New federal law requires engine cut-off device for boaters, Nevada rule mandated since 2007

The law should not be much of a change for Nevada boaters as the state has mandated use of the ECOS since 2007.
