Carson City man arrested for drug possession, defrauding an innkeeper after allegedly sneaking into vacant hotel room

Carson Street for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a red card without the owner’s consent, possession of drug paraphernalia, defrauding an innkeeper, and obstructing.
Quad-County COVID-19 Friday Update: 15 New Cases and 15 Recoveries

This brings the total number of cases to 12,206, with 11,576 recoveries and 222 deaths; 408 cases remain active.

Carson City School District Updates Spectator Policy for Athletic Events

The biggest change to the policy allows for visiting fans to attend as spectators. All spectators will be admitted to sporting events on a first-come first-served basis.
Carson City deputies arrest pair for child endangerment after letting children play with phone wallet containing methamphetamine
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 04/16/2021 - 11:51amA 35-year-old Dayton woman and a 35-year-old Dayton man were arrested in the area of College Parkway and Roop for three felony counts of child neglect and endangerment, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, Christina Leanna Leon and Jaime Enrique Leon were arrested by Special Enforcement Team (SET) deputies after driving with expired temporary paper registration tags on their vehicle.

Traffic is blocked by the vehicles in the westbound lanes.
First responders from Carson City and Dayton are enroute.

Women in the sports industry are far and inbetween, including those who go pro in their respective sports, those who manage these sports, and in Leah Withrow’s case, those who look after an entire baseball field and its upkeep.
In 2020, Withrow became the only female Head Groundskeeper in Minor League Baseball, being promoted to the position for the Reno Aces, a Triple-A affiliate team of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
