Applications for COVID-19 Funeral Assistance must be submitted through the FEMA dedicated call center; currently, there’s no deadline to apply.
Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development introduces workforce program to meet employer’s needs

Monitor Pass now open, Caltrans looks to open other Sierra passes by Memorial Day or sooner

District 10 has been clearing snow and debris from mountain passes for several generations, tackling the task each spring on Ebbetts Pass/State Route 4, Monitor Pass/SR-89 and Sonora Pass/SR-108.
Clear Creek Bowmen hosts annual Cancer Shoot

Sunday, May 2 the Clear Creek Bowmen will be holding their annual Cancer Shoot. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the shoot starts at 9 a.m. It will be a 35, unmarked yardage 3D shoot.

Owl family and other birds spotted during Mexican Dam hike

Many outdoor enthusiasts who've taken regular hikes in the area know there's family of owls that make their home in the same tree every year. I've seen as many as three baby owls peering down at me. I'm happy to say they are back again.
