Inspired to teach in Nevada? Future educators virtual summit featured April 27
Greetings, future Nevada educators. There is no better time like the present to become a teacher. If we have learned anything from this pandemic, it's that education is such a vital necessity to our livelihood. And now is the time to rethink education.
We would like to invite you to the Inaugural Future Nevada Educators Summit, hosted on April 27, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. This virtual summit is a joint effort led by seven NSHE institutions, the Nevada Department of Education, and other teacher licensure networks, with the purpose of growing our educator preparation pipeline for the State of Nevada.
We recognize that now, more than ever, qualified teachers are needed in school districts across our state and it takes an effort from all of us to expose our community to the benefits of PK-12 teaching.
We also encourage you to join us for our Teacher Expo and Reception, beginning at 8:00 pm (immediately following the summit). We have designated this time where you can wander through the breakout rooms to talk to representatives from different NSHE colleges, the Department of Education, and some school districts after the scheduled program.
Participants can register by clicking https://www.eventbrite.com/e/teacher-recruitment-summit-registration-145.... After registering, EventBrite will send you a Zoom link to the event.
