Carson City Health and Human Service is reporting Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021 that there is an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad County region. We are also reporting 15 new cases and 45 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Although an avalanche can occur whenever there is snow on a mountain range, avalanches most often occur between the months of December and April. It is important for visitors to be equipped with the current avalanche forecast, the proper avalanche rescue equipment, and avalanche training.

Each year the Board of Directors for Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada recognizes individuals, businesses and private foundations for their support of the BGCWN mission and keeping our Club doors open. Donors are formally recognized during the Club’s Annual Youth of the Year event, which is being held virtually on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. This year’s Community Partner of the Year is Campagni Auto Group.
