Reno-Tahoe International Airport to offer daily nonstop service to Charlotte, North Carolina

Beginning June 3, American Airlines will offer a daily flight between Charlotte Douglas International and Reno-Tahoe International, the first such service to Charlotte, North Carolina in Reno-Tahoe International history.

UNR Extension offers free radon gas test kits at offices statewide

University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s Radon Education Program is offering free short-term radon test kits to Nevadans through Feb. 28. Radon test kits are available at Extension offices and partnering locations statewide. Radon is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that iscolorless, odorless and tasteless. It comes from the ground and can accumulate in homes, raising the risk of lung cancer.

Carson City arrests: Witness sees woman throw coin purse with drugs in bushes during traffic stop

A 56-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of three counts possession of meth and three counts possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff's booking report states.

A traffic accident outside of Denny’s was reported just after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

It’s being reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
