CHS ski team update
The Carson High boys ski team rolled to a pair of wins on Friday against Hug and Rite of Passage at Mt. Rose.
CHS beat Hug 88-17 and defeated ROP 81-74 as the schools competed in the slalom. Zack Carlevato was the top overall finisher for Carson as he finished his two runs in 79.53 seconds. Sam White placed second overall for the Senators, finishing in 83.24.
Since Hug and ROP didn't have girls teams, the CHS girls ski team received two forfeit wins. In practice runs, Kat Fulwider was first for CHS in 79;74 while Danielle Beasom was second in 85.5.
Next up for the CHS boys and girls ski teams is the Northern 4A Championship at Mt. Rose. The giant slalom will be held on Wednesday while the slalom will be held on Thursday. The top two schools in the Sierra League will advance to the NIAA 4A State Championships.
