We can expect wet conditions throughout the weekend, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno reports, with 100 percent chance of showers Saturday and a high temperature into the mid-40s.

In Northwest Carson City near Western Nevada College, about 12 more inches accumulated overnight.

Road closures, travel restrictions on area roads Sunday morning

Travel restrictions are currently in place Sunday morning for Interstate 580 from about the Washoe County line through Washoe Valley to mile post 15.0 in Washoe County.
Chains or snow tires also required for Old U.S. Highway 395 Alternate from the Bowers Mansion interchange to the SR 431/341 junction in South Reno, the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) said.

Bald Eagle on Silver Oak Golf Course Sunday morning

Then a golf cart came along and disturbed the bird's meal. But that's when I got these shots.
Over the span of 24 hours, I have found both Golden and Bald Eagles here around the Nevada state capital, truly capturing the namesake of the "Eagle Valley."
Boat capsizes in Topaz Lake: One dead, one still missing
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sat, 01/12/2019 - 5:05pmUPDATE SUNDAY: The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified those involved involved in a fatal boating accident that happened Saturday at Topaz Lake. The deceased have been identified as Bert Pederson, 45, of Sparks. Jesse Gregory, 50, also of Sparks, remains missing as of late Sunday morning and is presumed to have drowned. Scott Wise was also involved in the accident, in which the boat they were in capsized, was taken Carson Valley Medical Center. Wise was released from CVMC after treatment.

UPDATE 5:48PM: One body has been recovered from Topaz Lake following a capsized boating accident Saturday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.
"There has been the recovery of one deceased person and their identity is pending next of kin notification," DCSO said. "This is still an active incident due to ongoing recovery efforts for the third missing boater who is believed to be drowned."
Topaz Campground and Park will be closed until further notice as soon as the investigation is completed.

A boat capsized in the Topaz Lake with three people on board, currently one person has been rescued and being treated for medical needs.
