The current Winter Storm Warning remains in effect today until about 4 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno said.
A 60 percent of snow will reduce to 30 percent by late Sunday afternoon, the NWS said, transitioning to a chance of snow showers with windy conditions.
The daytime high temperature is forecast to reach 30 degrees in Carson City. Skies should clear out to partly cloudy tonight through Monday until another storm and 30 percent chance of snow arrives late Tuesday afternoon into the evening, the NWS reported.
A chance of snow exists through the rest of the week after that, the NWS said, with a 90 percent chance Wednesday and possible accumulations of 2-4 inches.
Daytime highs during the week should be in the mid-30s to about 40 degrees, the NWS forecast said.
