CARSON CITY — Tell Me You Love Me Short Romance Film competition is now open for registration. Starting on Wednesday, Jan. 30, registered filmmakers will have exactly one week to conceive, write, produce and complete a short romance film that’s between 5- and 9-minutes long.

All of the films will be screened at a special dinner and screening event at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City on Valentine's Day.

American Flat remembered at Saturday film, photo show and lecture

SILVER CITY, Nev. — There will be a free event called “Remembering American Flat” this Saturday on the Comstock. The event includes three parts – a screening of a new documentary that covers the history of the American Flat mill from its inception in the 1920s to its demolition in 2014; a short lecture about the unique qualities of the mill by consulting architectural historian and industrial archaeologist Ron Reno, PhD; and a pop-up show with locals’ rare photos of the site.

Jukebox International Film Festival in Carson City adds to lineup

'Hollywood's Original Annie' to appear at Carson City's BAC for movie screening, free concert
