It’s going to get hot again today with a high of 93, but don’t worry, as we get out further into the week the weather will turn more autumnal with highs in the 70s. It could be the last hot day for a while, at least until a freak 90s+ hot day in November followed by a week long blizzard, so enjoy it while it’s here!

Douglas County Sheriff's Office: Pre-dawn Minden SWAT raid results in 4 arrests

Early Tuesday morning, Douglas SET, members of the Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics Team as well as the Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force conducted a pre-dawn search warrant leading to the arrest of four individuals.

We provide VIN verifications for people bringing in vehicles from out of state; we do vacation checks for residents while they are traveling; we enforce handicap parking; and red tag and tow abandoned vehicles as needed. We also assist with traffic control whenever the Sheriff’s Department needs assistance and help with special events.

The day we arrived, they had a wild fire that started at 200 acres and by the next day it was over 10,000. Grants pass was smokey and hard to breath, so Renee, my cousin Steve and I ventured to Brookings OR to do some salmon fishing.
