High profile progressive activist to be Carson City Democratic luncheon speaker

A Political Science graduate of UNLV, Magnus has become a familiar face throughout the state as an outspoken advocate for progressive causes.
She has also served as Co-Chair of the Nevada Women's Lobby, a board member of Emerge Nevada, and Public Affairs Manager at Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada.
This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 8th, in the banquet room of Carson City's Round Table, on Retail Drive just off College Parkway.

The longer one is explained by the National Weather Service, which says we are in between weather systems. Back by popular demand, Mr. Bayer will read from and talk about his book, "Rhymes From The Silver State," a collection of Nevada lyrics — songs and poems — reflecting both the mining era (c. 1854 to c. 1905) and the sagebrush and pine era (1905 to c. 1932). Nothing defines the historical culture of the Silver State better than these pieces.
