Kyle Roerink, Communications Director at Nevadans for a Clean Energy Future, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. Mr. Roerink will be making final arguments in favor of Question 6, the Renewable Energy Standards Initiative, and will be prepared to field questions on the future of renewable energy in Nevada.

It's parade day in Carson City, which means a host of Nevada Day activities throughout the state capital all day long.

Of course, the 80th annual Nevada Day Parade is the centerpiece of the Silver State's 154th birthday celebration.

This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, in the banquet room of Carson City's Round Table Pizza, on Retail Drive just off College Parkway. All are welcome.

Hello Carson City, today is Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. As another weekend ends, a short work week begins with Friday officially Nevada Day, a state holiday and a weekend of festivities ahead including Saturday's famed Nevada Day parade.

Eighteen students, who were the top fundraisers from Bordewich Bray Elementary School, were treated to a catered luncheon at the Governor’s Mansion Tuesday, Oct. 16.

In total, more than $15,000 were raised at Bordewich’s Jog-a-Thon event, Oct. 5.

The money, raised for the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), will be used to support and enhance the students’ education through various enrichment activities throughout the year.

Former Carson City Fire Chief Stacey Giomi will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22nd, in the banquet room of Carson City's Round Table Pizza, on Retail Drive just off College Parkway. All are welcome.

Good morning Carson City. Today is Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. Welcome to the first day of the work week. Among today's happenings are a hiring event, candidate luncheon, the third League of Women Voters Election Forum, the kick off of a item collection for the homeless, art exhibits and more.

Carson Valley Medical Center Registered Dietitian Renie Tharp will host a free seminar and healthful luncheon entitled "Putting Diabetes Type II and Pre-diabetes In Perspective," Oct. 27 at 11:30 a.m. (lunch served at 12:30 p.m.)

The Carson City Historical Society is offering an Afternoon Tea Luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 4 in the historic Foreman-Roberts House from 1 to 3 p.m.

Reserve your seat before Oct. 20. The Tea will be catered by Bella Vita restaurant and will include High Tea favorites: seasonal soup, salad, scones, a variety of finger sandwiches and special dessert bites, along with a variety of teas. The menu will be served at your table.

Autumn Zemke, Democratic candidate for Assembly District 40, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. Ms. Zemke will speak to the many issues that distinguish her candidacy from that of her Republican opponent, incumbent Assemblyman Al Kramer.

The Carson City Chamber Board of Directors announced its decision Tuesday to encourage its membership and residents to vote "no" on Question 3, the Energy Initiative.

As we head into our first full week of fall, sunny skies and a cool evening are on tap for this Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018. Among today's events are a morning walk and evening hike hosted by Muscle Powered, a chamber luncheon that focuses on Nevada Ballot Question 3 and the showing of the film "Westward the Women" by the Carson City Classic Cinema Club.
