Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 that there are two additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individuals were a male Carson City resident in his 90s and a male Lyon County resident in his 70s.

As a year with unprecedented challenges for small businesses comes to a close amid another COVID-19 surge, University of Nevada, Reno Extension will offer a free online town hall to provide small businesses with information to help them make some important year-end decisions. CARSON CITY — Given the devastating 2020 wildfire season across the west, and following two late-season wildfires that recently swept across the Sierra Front, the Nevada Division of Forestry announced Wednesday that it will convene a free virtual summit to help Nevadans prepare and protect their homes, families, and communities from wildland fires.

Since Nov. 16, 2020, CCHHS has received over 1,000 positive results for the Quad-County region. Due to the high volume of cases, not all positive cases have been contacted. CCHHS is working to investigate the cases and reduce the back log in positive results.
