Free Concert

Mile High Jazz Band will perform “Livestreamed and Kicking!” on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., broadcast from A to Zen, 1803 N Carson Street in Carson City on facebook.com/milehighjazz. The program presents big-band jazz with vocalist Jakki Ford.

U.S. Air Force Commanders Jazz Ensemble will perform Sunday, August 28, 3 pm. This is a free event. Bring the whole family. Bring the neighborhood! Backyard of the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

The Carson City Symphony Association will present a free concert featuring Music of the Andes on Saturday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m., at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive in Carson City. The concert features Kantu Inka - Carlos and Julie Ocampa - who have been presenting Peruvian Andean music in the U.S. since 2003.

The Capital City Community Band will present its annual “Salute To Young Musicians” concert on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in the Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center.

Today, the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation named Carson City, Nevada as one of 20 small to mid-sized towns and cities across America to win a Levitt AMP Grant Award of $25K in matching funds to present a free concert series at The Change Companies Stage. The Brewery Arts Center submitted Carson City’s Levitt AMP proposal.

The Capital City Community will, once again, welcome the holidays with a free concert in the Boldrick Theater in the Carson City Community Center on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the second annual Evening with Divas in Carson City, a Día de Muertos celebration at the Nevada State Museum, Nevada Artists Association’s 40th anniversary celebration, paranormal ghost investigations in Virginia City, a pie baking contest in Gardnerville and much more!

The Silver State celebrates its birthday this week in Carson City and will put on a statehood celebration like no other as Nevada Day comes into full swing, featuring the annual parade down Carson Street on Saturday, a carnival at Mills Park, The La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow at the MAC, activities for adults and kids, contests, delicious food dishes, pancakes, chili and plenty of beverages to suit every wild hair.

It's that spooky time again, when the leaves begin to fall, Nevada Day is gearing up to bring us the best parade in the state, and our little ghouls and goblins are putting together their terrifying and adorable costumes in preparation for sugary chaos.

World renown Violinist Jaime Jorge, will be giving a concert to benefit a local food pantry. Jaime has traveled over 6 million air miles and has played on 6 continents and in over 80 countries. He has recorded and released 17 albums.

The Capital City Community Band will present its annual Nevada Day concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 in the Capital Amphitheater in Carson City. The concert will feature a variety of music from Big Band sounds to Marches, Patriotic songs and Halloween favorites.

Events include the 100th annual Candy Dance in Genoa, the Carson City Community Center Garage Sale, free walks at Nevada State Parks, Virginia City’s Street Vibrations Fall Rally, the 31st annual All-Breed Dog Shows, The Beatles Flashback tribute band concert and much more!

Heading into Tuesday, August 13, there's a galaxy of events lined up, beginning at midnight with a meteor shower watch party at WNC's Jack C. Davis Observatory. When the sun arrives there's fitness events, a book talk at the Nevada State Library and Archives, outdoor Carson City jazz festival happenings at Comma Coffee and Bob McFadden Plaza, family movie night at the library and more. The historic Comstock town of Silver City, Nev. will host another free, family-friendly public event on Saturday August 3. Kantu Inka will perform on the town’s outdoor stage, the Silver Pavilion, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Kantu Inka is a duo including Carlos Ocampo and Julie Lozada Ocampo. They bring Peruvian culture alive with dance and traditional instruments such as zampoñas, quenas, charangos, bombos, chacchas, and cajón.

The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series presented by The Change Companies began with a full house last week and the party will continue this Saturday, June 29 at the Brewery Arts Center with reggae sensation Jordan T. So grab your family, friends and neighbors and get ready to experience the power of free, live music to bring our community together.

Antsy McClain & the Trailer Park Troubadours with opener King Whistler kicked off 2019’s Levitt Amp’s free concert series in Carson City Saturday Night, hosted by the Brewery Arts Center.

This is the fourth year in a row Carson City has won the grant to make the concert series possible.

Several art and music events in Carson City on Friday, June 7 are perfectly timed so you can attend all three. The Carson City Symphony's 35th annual Pops Party concert will be held this Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Capital Amphitheater, in the park between the Capitol and Legislature buildings.

The Carson City Symphony, lead by David Bugli, will be joined on the program by singer-songwriter Tom Miller and the Carson City Symphony Chorus, led by interim director Ricky Hutton.

Under the direction of Nick Jacques, the Capital City Community Band will perform its annual “FREE Spring Concert” Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at 3:00pm, at the amphitheater in the Legislative Mall (in front of the Nevada Supreme Court) on Carson Street, Carson City, Nevada. Donations accepted and appreciated.

Bowers Mansion Regional Park will kick off its 2019 tour season with a Civil War reenactment this Saturday, May 18, followed by the first Programs on the Porch on May 24.

Hosted by Bowers Mansion Regional Park and Washoe County Parks and Open Space, the event is sure to be a blast, and not just because cannons were definitely a part of the civil war.
