Youngsters 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 will be competing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Fremont Elementary School throughout the month of May. Participating teams are the Packers, 49ers, Seahawks and Saints.

Get in the spirit of giving with a new tattoo from Hooligan’s Ink to benefit the Austin House. For something less permanent, drop off a turkey at one of the contenders in the Salvation Army’s Battle of the Bars. Giving your time is valuable, too. The Muscle Powered Trash Mob meets once a month to help keep Carson’s trails clean and litter-free.

Senator Square: Speech and debate, future business leader teams prepare for nationals

CHS Speech and Debate will be holding several fundraisers to help cover the cost of the National Tournament this June in Dallas.
