On Tuesday, Dec 21, 2021, local paranormal investigative team, Thin Veil Investigators, presented several boxes and bags of clothing and treats to DeeDee Foremaster, founder of Carson City's Do Drop In, a Rural Center for Independent Living.

Two food drives are happening Thursday at two locations in Carson City. One drive is to collect Thanksgiving turkeys for families in need, and the other is a drive to help feed family pets.

Carson City Toyota will host a pet food donation drive and adoption event for the Nevada Humane Society this Thursday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Catmandu in Carson City is assisting the CEO and Founder of Project Bear Hugs, Hannah Hoobar, with her donation drive to assist the California wild fire victims.

Seventh-grade science students from Ashley Killeen’s class at Carson Middle School in Carson City completed a donation drive today that benefits foster children in rural Nevada.

Also featured today are activities that promote diabetes awareness through Carson Tahoe Health, numerous art showings, local political party election night events and a classic film being shown at the Brewery Arts Center.

With winter approaching, Western Nevada College’s Veterans Resource Center is participating in a donation drive of mostly clothing items for homeless veterans. Donations can be made at the Veterans Resource Center during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 10.

Hello Carson City and welcome to Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. The beginning of the work week promises sunny skies and seasonable temperatures, with highs in the mid to upper 60s. With the time change now in full swing and the sun rising earlier, it's always good practice to keep your windshield clean and clear and to be mindful of those intersections, streets, crosswalks and sidewalks where the rising sun shines especially bright.

Organizers of a campaign to collect items for Carson City's homeless are hoping locals will give what they can over the next two weeks as a way to help those individuals and families living on the street.

The number of homeless adults and children continues to rise in Carson City. No one wants to be left alone and with nothing in the cold.

Every drop counts, so give what you can during the donation drive held Oct. 15 through Oct. 28, 2018 in Carson City.
