Since 1993, Carson City Toyota has matched community donations totaling thousands of dollars. Altogether, the Campagni Auto Group, along with matching support from the community, has provided the Club with nearly $250,000 in operating funds over the past 25 years.

Battle Born Harley Davidson is throwing an appreciation party complete with food trucks. Virginia City’s annual Veterans Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. and the City of Reno will commence their parade after a short ceremony beginning at 11:11 a.m. You’ll find an abundance of craft fairs in Carson City, Carson Valley, and Dayton. The Boys and Girls Club invites you to their ‘Lights on Afterschool’ event with an ice cream social, face painting, games, bounce house, S.T.E.M. labs and more. A Dodgeball battle at the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center raises money for Domestic Abuse Awareness.

The soft opening of the accompanying carnival begins at 6 p.m. with one dollar rides. It’s Miss Scarlet with the lead pipe in the Observatory as the Carson City Library hosts a super-sized game of Clue for teens. Families will enjoy Beauty and the Beast, complete with a craft, if they sign up for the Library’s movie night. See what Teddy Roosevelt has to say at Dangberg Home Historic Ranch Park during tonight’s Chautauqua.

It begins today with a 4-H dog show focusing on obedience and rally. You’ll have to wait until Wednesday for the carnival, but you’ll be rewarded for your patience with one dollar rides opening night, courtesy of Carson City Toyota. If you happened to be awake during the wee hours of the morning, you may have heard some thunder rattling about – there may be a little more of that on its way.

Carson City Toyota GM to stay suspended on Ferris Wheel to raise money for children's cancer foundation
Submitted by editor on Mon, 01/23/2017 - 3:32pmCarson City Toyota General Manager Dana Whaley hates heights. But that’s not stopping him from taking a worthwhile cause to a higher level in an effort to raise money for Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.
On Friday, Jan. 27, Whaley will be taken to the top of a Ferris Wheel where he will have to stay, suspended, until $2,500 is raised for the foundation.
