Genoa gets festive: Caroling, tree lighting and breakfast with Santa
The oldest settlement in Nevada will keep with one of the oldest Christmas traditions this Friday: Caroling and tree lighting. Everyone attending is to meet at the Genoa Church at 5:30 pm.
Follow the carolers to the corner of Main Street and Genoa Lane to see the lights go up at 6:30 p.m.
After the lights are lit, cookies and cocoa will be served to boost holiday spirits and help warm up!
Following the tree lighting, on Saturday, Dec. 1 is Breakfast with Santa at the Genoa Town Hall.
There are three breakfast seatings available: 8:30, 9:40, and 10:50 am.
Santa will visit with children and their families throughout the morning, and attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras to document the festivities. Tickets are $5, children 4 and under are free.
Breakfast will consist of pancakes with syrup, sausage, orange juice, hot cocoa and coffee.
