Carson City School Board to discuss contest winners, upcoming events at Tuesday meeting
The next Carson City School Board Meeting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street beginning at 7 p.m.
Items on the agenda include winners for the “American Citizen Essay Contest,” financial audit results, upcoming events and more.
A discussion on the activities of Carson High School and Pioneer High School will be held, as well as an update from the Nevada Association of School Boards (NASB).
Superintendent Richard Stokes will lead a presentation on the CCSB Sponsored “American Citizen Essay Contest” and its winners.
A presentation and possible action will be held regarding the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Annual Independent Audit and Report on Financial Statements, as required per NRS 354.624.
A discussion and possible action will be held regarding the approval of proposed changes to CCSD Policy 275, School Social Workers (Safe School Professionals) Program.
A discussion and possible action on the Superintendent’s Evaluation of the 2020 Calendar Year will be held.

— Friday, December 4, 2020, Silver & Snowflake Festival Tree Lighting, Capital Building, 5:30 p.m.; via video recording of 5th grade students performing
— December 21, 2020 – January 1, 2021, Winter Break; classes resume on Monday, January 4, 2021
